After a four-year gap, the Brazilian Multi-Brand Championship was back to Londrina (State of Paraná) on Sept. 24-25. It was a fruitful weekend for C2 Team driver Gabriel Casagrande, who secured the pole position on Saturday. In the sixth leg of the season, Casagrande finished fourth behind the wheel of his competition Fluence (# 83) amid a thrilling race.
On Saturday (24), Casagrande achieved his best lap time in 1min19s275 out of the 11 laps on the 3,055 m circuit. Competing in tandem with William Starostik in this race, André Bragantini Júnior crossed the finish line in fifth with his Renault Fluence # 31. As a result, C2 Team managed to finish the race with two cars among the top competitors.
On Sunday, Casagrande finished fifth (4s412), securing 156 points. “This is a very positive result, since this is one of the most difficult classes of auto-racing to overtake. We have two other legs ahead of us and we will fight for the victory”, said Casagrande.
Greco Renault drivers Guilherme Salas and Fabrio Carbone have grabbed 32 points overall. Renault now totals 377 points in the championship and secures its second position in the overall raking of the Brazilian Multi-Brand Championship.
