Groupe Renault announces the appointment of Luiz Fernando Pedrucci as SVP, Chairman of the Americas Region. Currently president of Renault Brazil, he will replace Olivier Murguet, who has just been named Executive Vice-President of the new Sales & Regions Division.

In Latin America, Renault is commercially present in four countries: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. The commercial footprint is complemented by importers present in almost all other countries of the region. As to production in the Region, Renault has four plants in Brazil, one in Argentina, one in Colombia and one in Chile. In 2017, Renault’s market share in the region achieved 6.7%, for a total volume of 390,000 cars sold. The Group currently employs 12,000 people in the Region.

This organization will be effective from November 1, 2018.
Olivier Murguet

Born on March, 7th, 1966, Olivier Murguet graduated from ESCP-EUROPE Business School. He joined Renault in 1990, working for the Renault Portuguesa Control Division, and subsequently held different management positions at the Sales & Marketing Division in France. In 1996 he was appointed Sales Director for Brazil and in 2001 Sales Director for France, the leading market of the Group. Later he was Managing Director in Poland, Spain and Mexico successively. In 2012, he was appointed Renault´s CEO for Brazil. Since April 1st 2015, Olivier Murguet has been the Chairman for the Americas region and a member of the Renault Committee Management.

Luiz Fernando Pedrucci was born in São Paulo. The 45 year old executive has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from FEI School of Industrial Engineering, and holds an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He joined Renault in 1997, holding different responsibilities in the commercial area, the last one as Head of Customer Relations & After Sales Service Quality. In 2012, he became Supply Chain Director of the Renault Americas Region. After being appointed managing director and president of Renault Colombia (SOFASA) in January 2016, he led the Colombian subsidiary to be listed among the country’s top 40 companies by achieving record sales volumes and market share. In July 2017 he was appointed president at Renault Brazil and, together with the local team, leveraged the brand to achieve a record market share in the domestic market both in 2017 and 2018.
